Call yourself italian?!
This was such a disappointment. I am surprised that the italian waiters/waitresses are not ashamed to serve such poor food as it was so far removed from any food you would associate with Italy! The pizza base was soggy and heavy, the carbonara was dolmio-style sauce and tasteless, no hint of the proper ingredients used, more like a jar of sloppy sauce, and the third pasta dish was tasteless AND the pasta was over-cooked. The toilets were seriously disgusting and although the waiters were good-looking, it doesn't make up for their fairly unenthusiastic attitude. Although that is probably due to them having to serve such poor food. A taste of Italy, this was not!

Theres so much better elsewhere
What a disappointment. With its good location, I wouldn't be suprised if this was due to a bit of laziness. The menu was unimaginative to say the least and the service was really not great. Due to a lack of space on a saturday afternoon we were put in a space round the back where our table couldnt be seen properly. Some how i knew this would be an issue from the start. It took long enough just to order drinks let alone food. Oh and just to top it off there was something living in one of our party's salad: they did refund it, but it certainly put me off for good.

superb cuisine
great restaurant one of my favs when going to brighton. excellent choice of italian dishes, pasta, pizza etc, all freshly cooked and delicious. staff always happy, place always busy. great atmosphere, been here for party and with friend for lunch and dinner. always go back. recommend highly
