The Lee Family July 2013 There are a number of things that really made a difference; little things, but important nonetheless. It was great to find hand soap, loo paper, hand towels in kitchen and bathroom, milk, salt and pepper. Two years ago, we went by train to a cottage in St Ives. We arrived really tired after a very long train journey to find not a square of loo paper, no soap, completely bare cupboards, no bathroom light bulb, I could go on. All this for £900 and a £100 deposit that we had to request back a few times. And the single bed mattresses were terrible, protruding springs etc. I always take cleaning equipment, and I don’t expect everything provided, I know it’s not how it works, but there is something great about walking into a place that at least gets you off to a start, you can get comfortable without having to completely unpack/ go shopping. We all thought the cottage was brilliant, you have really thought about the little extras people need to feel at home, and for this we are really grateful. It would be lovely to stay at the cottage again one day, the location is perfect. I have taken a couple of postcards and will certainly be recommending you. When I spoke to Sarah about the bins, she was really helpful – we hadn’t quite grasped what the system was about putting bins out as there were none to put out, but she sorted us out.
