GREAT PRODUCTS, GREAT SERVICE
Having seen all the negative comments I think that future buyers have a right to see a different side to things and a more recent review. My experience with Basic Elegance Furnishings were very positive. I recently purchased a dining set (versace inspired table with 6 matching chairs) and 2 gold damask occasional chairs. I am very happy with the products I received, but also with the great service that Basic Elegance has provided. From ordering to delivery Basic Elegance were there at every step and were just a phone call away to answer any queries I had. Even after the delivery, they called to check if everything was ok. The dining set was beautiful. Hand made from Italy, the craftsmanship was amazing and the finishing perfect. It was definitely worth every penny and more. I am so in love with it that I haven't allowed my family to use it too much to save it from ruining its perfection. The damask chairs were also lovely and was of good quality for the price I paid. However, there were some minor problems with the damask chairs and as I am a perfectionist I had to return the damask chairs twice before I was satisfied with it. But through it all, the staff and manager (Dennis) at Basic Elegance were very patient with me and was always happy to help me sort out the problems I had. Their service is top notch! They are all kind and lovely to talk with. I felt that they were very professional and from my experience I now know them to be a company that strives to make their customers happy. I highly recommend buying from them. I look forward to my next purchase in the future knowing that they are a company that can be trusted. Thank you Basic Elegance Furnishings! CON MEN!
My heavily pregnant wife and I ordered our Chenille Jumbo corner sofa just before Xmas under the pretence we would be receiving delivery week commencing the 14th Jan. We paid up front in full with no hassles as Dennis was very persuasive he could fulfil his promises. To our surprise, upon calling to check to see what time we could expect our delivery we were advised that there had been a delay due to the production factory in Wales being behind with orders, this delay was due to Basic Elegance and the warehouse focusing on building furniture for the Furniture Exhibition at the Birmingham NEC. I would assume this was a last minute show as this was never mentioned as a concern when we placed our order. From this date onwards we spent many weeks calling Dennis and his team to ask for updates as to when we could expect delivery of our sofa, all the time my pregnant wife was sitting on the floor. I returned home one day to my wife sobbing saying that Dennis had shouted at her and been extremely nasty all because she was asking for some answers, to which he had then apologised for doing so. Dennis seemed to think I was more interested in hearing about how busy his day had been and how much stress he is under rather than providing me with a definitive answer as to when I could receive our paid for goods. Needless to say after many weeks of failed efforts to get a straight answer I contacted my credit card company and reported Basic Elegance as being fraudulent and taking my money under false pretences. Eventually this money was returned. We ordered a sofa from another reputable company the same day and received delivery 3 days later as well as a great service, that Basic Elegance is how business and service should be delivered. To all potential customers.. BEWARE.

Electric Sofa Bed
The most rudest company I have ever dealt with. Ripped off old aged pensioners by £1,800. and very rude telephone conversion. Do not buy from this company.

GIVE IT A MISS
I had terrible dealings with this company my item did'nt arrive no communications when I asked for a explanation was put through to a very loud unapologetic man who said he was the director he wouldn't listen to his customer just liked the sound of his own voice it seemed. I was made to feel like I was wasting his time why not just take a refund his time was profit forget about explanations

BUYER BEWARE
After having waited three weeks for a item that was to be delivered 3-5 days. I phoned to be told they had messed up my order I asked why no communication e-mail ,phone,to let me know what was happening . Payment had been taken immediately. I asked for a explanation only to be put through to the rudest person who called himself the director all I can say is his people skills and customer service was sadly lacking. He didn't listen he just talked loudly over you. terrible company
