The Riverside
Not a bad place this, it is on the river opposite Vire Island.The food is very good in the restaurant part, local ingredients etc. Have had some very nice meals in there in recent years. The restaurant is a nice place to be but it can get very hot in there if it is busy.There are a couple of downsides though. The outside area doesn't get much sunshine and none at all after 'office' hours, if you want a drink in the sun after work, walk a bit further along the river and go to the Steam Packet.The other slight downside is that some of the customers in the bar and outside can be a bit 'chavvy'. I'm no snob but there can be too many white track suits and thick fake gold chains around the place.
