Great Grub!
Jakes has got to be one of the best places in Plymouth to grab a bite on the go. There is a Jakes located about 1 minute away from the majority of student accommodation from the University and is very popular from 1am till 5am when the queue can be seen out the door.Although only a small place the food is lovely and simple. They sell a selection from baguettes to burgers and chips at reasonable prices and always seem to be friendly no matter how much you've had to drink! It is a must for most students but is also popular during lunch time and throughout the day.Note: there is even a Jakes appreciation group on Facebook!

One of the best
Jakes is great, this has to be the best fast food going in Plymouth. Jakes is popular with students being located close to the univeristy and loads of student accomodation. Jakes is busy and lively most of the time inculding in the middle of night where the staff seem to remain friendly and upbeat despite dealing with the nights drunks, this venue is a takeaway only is very small so there is no where to eat inside, however Jakes has a city centre cafe and takeaway which is just as good and has plenty of seating, the prices are competitve and the portions fab!
