you could easily miss this place - although it's in city centre it's up a side street and then up a small alley just down from the timepiece night club - gets very busy though and there are good reason's for that. as a pub it has a good atmosphere 'till late and better than that go for the food - if you want quieter surroundings get a table upstairs and choose something from the extensive menu of yummy food on offer - you won't be disappointed if you like good british food and there's lots to choose from. if you feel up to it later go to the night club adjacent to the old timers and have a really good night out!

Old Timers is a really cluttered busy pub and restaurant in Exeter. It serves delicious food in MASSIVE portions. I cannot emphasise enough how huge the portions really are. It is difficult to finish a meal (and believe me, I usually do not have a problem finishing food!)I would particularly recommend their steak and stilton pie. On a cold winter's day, it is lovely to go to Old Timers at lunchtime and tuck into a homely warming massive portion of steak and stilton pie with mash potato. Their baguettes are also delicious and very filling.Their desserts are absolutely out of this world and similarly generous portions. The staff are very friendly and chatty.Great place for decent homely pub grub.
