About
A dramatic site in the heart of the Derbyshire Dales on the edge of the Peak National Park. Set in six former quarries, the site is crammed with ancient tropical reefs, rocks and minerals, centuries of industrial history and full of wildlife treasures - a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
The National Stone Centre also hosts school visits and holds training courses in dry stone walling and stone carving.
