Who we are

Derbyshire Community Bank was established in 2006 in Ilkeston and is the largest Credit Union in Derbyshire with just over 3500 members and in excess of £1,000,000 out in loans or savings at any one time.

The majority of our members live or work in Erewash, Amber Valley, Derby and Derbyshire Dales but we cover the whole of Derbyshire.

Members can access us online or in one of our many branch locations.

Who we are:

We have a team of 10 staff members who provide a range of services from staffing our face to face service points to back office functions that include:

• dealing with telephone enquiries
• online banking requests
• reconciling payments and withdrawals to member accounts
• loan applications
• arrears recovery
• plus much more...

In addition we have seven Board Members who provide the governance to help steer the bank in the right direction to ensure we are a self-sufficient, sustainable organisation and that the products and services we offer meet the needs of our Members. In addition we have four Supervisory Committee Members who provide our internal audit function to ensure our policies and procedures are robust and followed correctly.

Our ambition is to offer competitive products that are easy to access with good customer service in order to grow our business for all that want or need to access it.
