The Abbey House Hotel, located in Barrow in Furness in the beautiful South Lakes District, is set in fourteen acres of private woodland and gardens and has just been voted as The Best Wedding Venue in Cumbria, as well as being an ideal setting for holidays or weekend breaks. The hotel takes its name from the neighbouring ruins of Furness Abbey, built back in the 11th Century when it was one of the greatest Cistercian foundations in the country.
