Welcome To White Spade Poker!

Looking back over years of poker players, some come and go, some play regularly, some play when they can, some are skilled, and a few are gifted.

We've all been there. Watching the WSOP, following those that win big money, wishing that it was us holding that cash in Vegas.

We're different. Very different. We're not looking for the pros. We're looking for people who love the game and have their wits about them. Let's face it, we all run bad at times, but we can smell skill and knowledge wherever it is.

White Spade Poker was founded by Chris Tibbett. Chris began playing poker when he was nineteen, starting in his local Redtooth Pub League. After playing there for two years, he became the League Manager, and ran that for three years.

He then decided, after winning the league 3 times consecutively, to take a challenge. At this point, he found that players were happy to play, but the rewards simply weren't good enough. So NEPPL, the North East Pub Poker League was born.

NEPPL Launched in February 2012 with a £250GTD tourney. An impressive 48 players tabled the event. The prize pool turned out to be just short of £600! After that, they signed up 9 venues locally, and every 3 months, put a cash prizepool of £1,000 and a £150 Gala Casino Ticket for free.

Shortly after, Chris then began focusing on other areas. NEPPL's reigns were given to a good friend, and he was then approached by the Cleveland Bay to run a tourney once a week.

In the space of 3 months, going from 4 players to 20 players, the game rocketed in popularity.

In October 2014, his daughter Alice arrived, and all poker took a back seat. Since then, he's played online on PokerStars and 888.com.

Then the concept for WSP was born. Not just a name. A brand. A brand that helps ordinary players live the dream. All we can say is watch this space...

White Spade Sponsorship

We have four sponsorship packages available. Before we decide to consider sponsorship at any level, we will arrange to watch you play in a number of varying tourneys.

If, after we have assessed risk, style, success, consistency, we will then discuss which sponsorship you would most benefit from.

Then, your contract will be written and agreed, and games will then be arranged for you to be entered into. We may agree partial stake, or full stake, depending on what is agreed.
