My pet was treated at Rees vets and I must say I found all the staff very friendly and helpful. My dog was treated very well and I had no problems with them at all. I would trust them with any of my animals as they had a great empahy with my pet. The off road parking is a great bonus.

Our greyhound was limping, so we took him to Rees vets. The vet looked over him briefly, but nothing in depth. We were told that he needs metacam for 5days and to have him x-rayed (3days later before metacam dose is finished!). this would be nearly £300. We were then told we need to expect it could be a tumour, he may need his leg amputated and will have to take him home to decide whether he is put down. We extremely distressed and shocked that with no evidence of a tumour or on a simple visit, we are being told this!. We were also sold worm and flea because the tumour can make them more prone to getting fleas and worms- in total spent £92.00.. Very worried we went to the greyhound trust, they took one look at him, squeezed a pad and they said "hes getting a corn". no big deal, when it comes through, get it cut out"!!!!!!!!!! Unbelievable. Rees vets put the frighteners onto us, nearly cost us £300 in xrays and are money grabbing. According to 3 different dog walking companies they do this a lot. stay away. I have lost £92 for nothing. Disgraceful.!

I am sorry that your cat was so poorly and I do understand how you felt at such a sad time. However, The out of hours service at Rees vet centre is not part of the practise and therefore is run as an entirely seperate business. So I feel Rees was not to blame for your experience. Did you make a complaint at all? If you have issues with the ER then you should complain to them. In my experience in my twenty years of receiveing treatemnt for my pets I have always received excellent care and treatment from this practise as I am sure many others have too. They have saved the lives of my animals when all hope had been given up. So complain to the correct people!

I took my cat to the emergency out of hours service and I am extremely unhappy with the care he received. He was very sick and kept in over the weekend. He was left in a room with no heating and I have serious doubts over his care and treatment. The staff were uncommunicative, hard to understand and evasive. They seemed to have little interest in his recovery and could't get me to sign the euthanasia form quickly enough. I will never take any of my pets to this vets again.
