About Us

We are an independent family owned business established in 1984. Our focus is on the retailing of garden plants that will thrive in our local area. To this aim we grow or source plants from as close to home as possible. A large percentage of the plants that we sell are grown on Cheshire nurseries.

Our Plants

At all times of the year we have a wide range of plants grown to fill your garden with colour. In order to help you achieve the best results we always have a selection of planted tubs and baskets available showing off the plants in their best combinations. Hardy plants form the permanent structure to the garden. We offer the following: Trees - A small selection of trees that are best suited to the ornamental garden. Shrubs - A selection of the most popular plants and a range of more unusual varieties laid out in an A - Z format to aid choosing. Perennials - We offer an interesting range of these cottage garden plants; many are grown on to flowering size here in Prestbury from stock grown in the fields of Norfolk Roses - Climbing roses, Hybrid teas, miniature and celebration roses. Rhodedendron, Camellias and Azaleas - Tough plants grown in Yorkshire that flourish in our gardens here in East Cheshire. Alpines - Provide reasonably well drained soil and all the alpines that we offer will thrive. Climbing Plants - Clematis, Honeysuckle, Virginia Creepers and unusual climbers for southern aspects.

Flower Shop

Filling the shop with colour and perfume, cut flowers provide the perfect introduction to Prestbury Plant and Garden. Our knowledgeable, skilled flower sellers are able to help you choose flowers for the home and to provide arrangements beautifully presented as the most beguiling of gifts. A selection of flowering house plants fill our traditional Greenhouse.

Garden Shop

Our garden shop helps link the love of plants to gardening as a hobby. Here you will find the tools of the trade: Plant food, labels, pots, seeds, dibbers, trugs and a host of other accessories.
