the harrington arms is situated off the main road from macclesfield to bosley and offers parking. this large old fashioned country pub is quiet and relaxed. the atmosphere is friendly if a little quiet and gloomy due to the old fashioned furnishings and style. traditional food is offered but of a fairly poor quality, but offers good value. there is a fair range of beers and has a beer garden. it is frequented by locals and those passing by. this is more of an older customers pub who like traditional style and not too noisy or busy. the staff are welcoming and accommodating and the locals are happy to chat. not one for gastro pub afficionados or young music loving people, but a reliable country pub offering fuss free fare and ambience.
