Provision of gymnastics and related sports to children aged 1 to 18 including birthday parties, ballet, dance trampolining etc
The home of champions ranging from Buck's county champions all the way up to European and world champions, but also the home for kids who just want to have fun and enjoy the sport of gymnastics............
The club is a charity run by a team of 4 directors who keep the club running smoothly, putting the children first and making it a happy, exciting and enjoyable time for all.
Men's gymnastics comprises six pieces of apparatus.
Floor – this is a combination of strength, balance, flexibility, acrobatic and tumbling movements and routines last 50-70 seconds.
Pommel Horse – this is the hardest piece, relying entirely on upper body strength.
The gymnast must travel on all parts of the horse, with leg circles and scissors.
Rings - The gymnast must show strength, swing and flexibility.
Vault - The gymnast must show flight to and from the horse with some twists and somersaults sandwiched in between!
Parallel Bars – A routine shows swings above and below the bars and involves gliding movements, handstands, turns and pirouettes.
High Bar – The gymnast performs a series of giant swings along with dare-devil turns, releases and pirouettes.
When your child is first picked from the beginners classes they will be invited to development squad. Development is a pre squad in which your child will be learning basic skills and discipline for gymnastics. There is a lot of strength and agility conditioning to give your child the physical strength to perform some of the bigger skills needed later.
When your child has progressed through the development squad they may then be excepted into the senior squad. This is where they will learn more complicated skills and will start to put routines together ready to compete in county, regional and national competitions.
The sky is the limit for your child at Milton Keynes gymnastics and our job in squad is to give them the tools and specialised training to ensure that your budding gymnast reaches their full potential.

Tumblers race down a 6' x 88' carbon fibre sprung track. They have to perform 8 elements as a tumble run combining whips, flicks, somersaults and multiple somersaults. This sport is about special awareness co-ordination, power and nerve.
We have a good history in tumbling at this club having had a multiple World and European champions and several national squad members. This sport is perfect for teaching children a range of skills including independence, focus, self discipline, physical strength and fitness and self motivation.
This discipline is open to both male and female gymnasts.
Does your child want to progress their gymnastics further?
Our recreational gymnastics classes offer children aged 4 years (must be in full time school) to 12 years structured 1 hour lessons to gain knowledge of basic gymnastics skills. These sessions are great fun for all levels of athlete and have a 6 week plan and structure so you as a parent and the gymnast themselves no exactly what they are going to be doing each week. Gymnasts start with conditioning and flexibility to warm up and then cover rotations on vault, floor, trampette, beam and trampoline, aiming to improve their gymnastic skills progressively. Within the schedule gymnasts cover badges & rosette testing every 3 weeks feeling a sense of achievement taking away certificates and rewards each week.
Your child will have a fantastic time in our gymnastics centre. As we are purpose built we have a vast array of equipment. For the girls, 2 sets of uneven bars, 2 high and 3 low floor beams, the boys have 3 sets of parallel bars, 2 sets of rings and 2 pommel horses. If that's not enough then there are always the 2 sunken trampolines, the fast track ( like a long trampoline), sprung tumble track and of course the children's favourite...........the foam pit!!
Children attending these classes work progressively through our rosette awards from 7 all the way up to 1 being the highest. We hold at least 3 In house competitions a year which is such a friendly and relaxed event where your child can show off their skills with no pressure. We often hold galas too on a theme such as Halloween, Christmas or Olympics.
Our coaches are CRB checked and qualified. They are very passionate about teaching these fantastic gymnastic skills. Most are ex gymnasts, some have come from other sports wishing to expand their sporting knowledge, and we have parent helpers who then go on to become great coaches and judges!
