TGI Fridays is the place to go if you want some good old fashioned American grub. It can get very busy so it is advisable to book a table if you are going evenings or weekends which must be testament to how good and popular it is. The foods is lovely and delicious and they do like their Jack Daniels glazing! If you are a fan of burgers then you will be in your element if you go for the ultimate burger. My 2 personal faves are the Jack Daniels ultimate which is 2 giant burgers and a JD glaze, and also their version of a mixed grrill. When I had this I was literally bursting out of my jeans! I would also recommend the chicken strips for starters as they are divine, and if you are lucky enough to not be driving you should check out their cocktail menu - very very good! The prices are a little bit more than say Frankie & Bennies but you do get good grub which will fill you up. 10 out of 10!

Having visited a few TGIs in my time, I didn't have high hopes for my visit. However I was really impressed with the service, food and atmosphere in the Cribbs Causeway Branch. We were there for a children's birthday celebration. The staff were really attentive, expecially to the kids. They were happy for us to bring along our own Birthday Cake and did the customary "Fridays Birthday Song" with far more enthusiasm than is natural in most normal people! All portions were huge (I suppose it is authentic American eating) and I can recommend the Fajitas and also the Chicken Club Sandwich. Recommend a visit midweek to avoid having to wait for a table, although if you do have to wait it does give you the chance to sample a cocktail or two - fairly pricey but they are good.

TGI has an atmosphere to die for, non stop excitement and fun and a real friendly approach from the minute you walk in. The service here is always really friendly, the staff seem to love talking and seem really happy in their work. Food is superb, good size portions for the right price – every dish I have had has been cooked well, the salad is always fresh and crisp and looks great, however it tastes much better than it looks. I can recommend the mixed platter starter, which will start to fill you up and their burgers which are massive. Its worth going on to their website and registering as you can get birthday treats like cocktails in your inbox.

TGI Fridays, Cribbs Causeway (Bristol)

This restaurant is very child-friendly, probably one of the best in Bristol for taking young children to. The food is consistently very good, and the waiting staff are always friendly (to adults & children!). At busy periods there can be a delay in being seated, but the bar is reasonably entertaining as the staff do tricks while making cocktails.Children are provided with entertainment (drawing, balloons), & the highchairs provided are excellent (Handysitt boosters). The only drawback I can think of is the fact that periodically the staff gather round a certain guest (usually who's birthday it is), & sing a 'Happy Birthday song', very loudly & with lots of clapping. This is entertaining the first few times but can get annoying after a while!Overall this restuarant is highly reccommended.
