Souk Kitchen is fantastic. I was impressed by the originality and diversity of the menu. The food that followed was incredible. My dishes were crammed with well balanced flavours using high quality ingredients. The price was modest too. When taking into consideration their attention to presentation this meal would have cost double at most other reputable establishments. After living in Southville for over 3 years I have constantly been 'whelmed' by the standards offered, finally I can say south Bristol now has a restaurant to rave about and that I am!

The best persian food in Bristol?

Service

Quality

Value

This is a highly underrated restaurant. If you are looking for great persian food - this is the place to be. No comfy sofas here, or trendy background music, just clean straight dining furniture and excellent food to be mulled over. It's actually a great place to bring friends or conduct business meetings, as you bring your own atmosphere. The best food here is the persian menu - the obligatory mainstream dishes are mainly that - obligatory - they'll do. The daily lunchtime fare is fantastic value for money - huge chicken skewers with the best fatoush sauce ever. One could almost imagine the chef's a bit of a show off! Sunday mornings are VERY busy here - get here early - this place morphs into a fab trendy hangout with a great selection of english breakfasts - and they do the most excellent cinnamon toast, I believe in the old adage - you get what you pay for - and i believe this is good value for money.

cafe aldi

my friend and i always refer to cafe ceiturica as cafe aldi as we dont know how to pronounce the name plus we always park in aldi when we eat there.the breakfasts are always a treat ,our favourites are the french toast or the croissants both to die for and not good for the waistline. the english breakfasts are more expensive than others in the area and not really any better. it isnt as busy as it used to be and the staff seem to change frequently. that said it is a very pleasant place to meet friends and chill.i have been there a couple of times in the evening and would also say i enjoyed the food but it is much busierso you would need to book.the thing to remember is dont park in aldi car park for longer than stated time the fine is seventy pounds {evenings included}.

Persia in Bedminster

Good ambience in a cosy little place (though can be noisy on a busy night). Good fry-ups, though not the cheapest on North Street, and delicious Persian curries and fish specials on the evening menu.

Super breakfast!

Apparently Ceiturica (pronounced more like chetori-ka) is Persian for "How you doing, mate?" Their evening menu is very Persian themed but their breakfasts are decidedly more English inspired. By half ten on Sunday morning they were nearly full of couples and families enjoying a lazy breakfast. On a bright sunny morning, like when we visited, the big windows give the place a lovely light feel. There's a range of breakfasts: Full English (and one even bigger with chips), a vegetarian breakfast, and other simpler options like pancakes or muesli. They serve a good range of teas, coffees, and juices to wash it all down.Southville is well served with places for a lazy Sunday breakfast but Ceiturica is definitely one of finest.
