About Us

Bristol Wrought Iron has been trading since 2007.

I have been in the wrought iron industry for 15 years, since leaving school.

I started with my father and then went on to work for various companies.

Work I have undertaken is very broad and includes:
helicopter landing pads for trinity house (lighthouse)
complete restoration of Victorian bandstands
and various reproduction Victorian gates.

All my work is made to order using solid steel (no cheap B&Q items here).
My steel ranges from 12mm square, round or twisted bar up to 25mm.

Gate frames are various sizes depending on the pattern and measurement of the opening
i.e. hollow box 25x25x3mm for a single gate and double gates up to 8ft opening.
50x50x5mm for double gates right up to 15ft opening.
100x100x8mm for a larger set of gates.
Flat bar ranges from 25x8mm up to 60x15mm.
There are smaller guage steels but I refuse to use any smaller than 25mm.

Patterns are so various that there are many to choose from.
Most of my customers design their own or they can pick from my catalog.
