Restaurant - Chinese in Manchester
34 Princess Street
Manchester
M1 4JY
Located in the heart of Manchester’s Chinatown, serving exquisite dim sum and Cantonese cuisine, the Yang Sing offers cordial old school service; some contemporary takes on traditional Cantonese cooking and an enviable reputation as one of Manchester’s finest food institutions. Serving locally sourced produce and buying seasonally, Yang Sing is a grande dame of Manchester’s vibrant food and drink scene.
With a fantastic restaurant, extensive private dining and banqueting facilities, along with popular cookery classes and events Yang Sing is there for your every occasion
I always love coming here best to have a bit of this and that. Give the staff free rein to bring you a selection and boy they don't disappoint. Save for a special occasion as can be expensive.

The heart of the kitchen may beat to a Cantonese rhythm but there are more than a few Western counterpoints in the mix. The cooking has a flair and imagination rarely seen in Chinese food. Staff make the myriad options accessible to the average customer and the bustling atmosphere makes for a real sense of occasion.

I am also another person who had been told that this was the best chinese restaurant in Manchester, however i feel that i had to disagree with this. Don't get me wrong the food was very nice and it was very nicely presented. The staff were very helpful and the service was very fast furthermore the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was very pleasant. However i just feel that i have had better chinese from my local chinese and it hasn't cost half as much as it did at the yang sing. I also found that this restaurant was extremely expensive and i expected a little more for my money.

I've been quite often told this is the best Chinese restaurant in Manchester. Went there, and the food was good as was the service. A classy environment overall, but I don't think the food or service justified the cost. One for the expense accounts!
