Restaurant - English in London
73 White Hart Lane
London

Another local of mine & I'd really like to like this place. The bar is nice, staff friendly & it has a super garden at the back but the food is very hit and miss and for the prices it has to be consistent. Both the Brown Dog and The Depot nearby are better for the price.

old fashioned pub inside, large windows, wood paneling all looked good and felt cosy. The menu very much like the brown dog down the road being traditionally english but with a few more choices. The menu was a lot cheaper than our other locals. Scotch beef and ale pudding was delicious and filling, the quiche was great...fantastic pastry! We had a good selection of cured meats to share for starters(although not british). Puddings were traditional and tasty...rhubarb and almond tart with a good dollop of clotted cream and a very smooth chocolate tart... A selection of real ales would have been great but unfortunately only spindrift was on offer.
