Great place. Unpretentious, simple menu, fresh fish, and great chunky non greasy chips. Easily the best chipie in town, as regular prices. Beats that over priced (£10 for Haddock & Chips!) toff SeaCow that closed down in as much time as it was open on Church St. Hope they keep the high standard up. Long may it continue.

We were looking for a Turkish tripe soup joint when we stumbled upon this great chippy instead. This new restaurant is owned by a fishmonger down the road; guaranteed satisfaction. Bespoke grilled fish dishes from the catch of the day menu are offered alongside the more traditional fish and chips. My sea bass with samphire and green leaf salad(£9.95) was utterly elating and my dining companion's halibut steak with fat hand cut chips(£10.95) was outstanding. The freshness and the cooking of the fish deserve an absolute pilgrimage. Prices for the grilled specialities were unbelievably cheap, imagine a whole grilled lobster for £14.95!I envy the folks living in Stoke Newington.
