Lovely restaurant, felt particularly comfortable even knowing I was there early and on a weekday. Food has good presentation and the ingredients are of good quality.

It's often hard to find somewhere not too busy in this part of town. Smollensky's is good for that at lunch time. I've had a number of lunches here and it is particularly good for meetings for this reason. The food is pretty good, but not the most amazing you'll experience. Burgers and steaks are recommended.

Been here twice and because both times we found the food (steaks), service, ambience and jazz band to be average, we probably won't go back. The restaurant decor is nice and on the upmarket end of the spectrum, but when it is filled with diners it is as noisy as a marketplace which makes it challenging to have conversations over the table.
