PizzaExpress has expanded enormously over the years and now has a staggering number of outlets. The simple menu and kitchen concept has retained its freshly made ideal and you can still watch your pizza being prepared for you.

The Pizza Express in Russia Row is a delightful place to eat. This intriguing round restaurant is situated in the heart of the financial district near to St Paul's Cathedral, and suitable for tourists and city workers alike, although it is closed at weekends. Delicious, inexpensive food in clean surroundings with polite, attentive staff. If you sit near to the kitchen, you can watch them prepare your meal. The menu continues to offer new and innovative dishes to try. My only complaint is that staff can be slow to bring the bill; something to watch for if you have an appointment to meet. However, this is in line with with the relaxed atmosphere of Pizza Express, who bring their outstanding food quickly to the table, but allow the diner to take their time, and don't hassle them to eat up and leave.
