Who are PEO People?

PEO People plc, was created in 2005 and launched in 2006 to meet the demands of growing small to medium enterprises (SME) needing to compete on a level playing field with top performing organisations - by outsourcing all HR related tasks to PEO People; whose core strength is Talent Management and Optimisation. Thus, enabling them to focus on their core strength and redeploy their people management time into developing and driving business performance.

PEO Peoples' Background.

Over 20 years ago the concept of a PEO (Professional Employer Organisation) was established in the USA. Since then, the market for PEO services has grown rapidly and it is forecasted by NAPEO (National Association of PEO's) that by 2008 over 40% of the workforce in the U.S will be co-employed with a market value of $70bn US labour force in the SME Sector.

A professional employment organisation (PEO) employs and manages the employment of staff on behalf of other organisations. The PEO takes care of all legal, regulatory, financial and administrative aspects of employment for its client. This leaves the client organisation free to concentrate on the core value generating areas of its business rather than managing the increasing complexity of employment and associated liabilities.

PEOs are both well established and successful, but unfortunately this model has yet to evolve to meet the European market needs. In Europe, employers are specifically looking for an organisation to reduce employment costs and remove the onus of mobilising a global workforce, particularly in the areas of compliance and risk. This PEO demand has been precipitated by the growth in employment legislation, increased risk of employer liability and changing patterns of employment relationship. Drivers for a European PEO - In Europe employers are increasingly being driven to reduce employment costs and to minimise the legal and administrative onus of a global workforce. These demands have been precipitated by the growth of EU employment legislation with attendant increased employer liability and risk.
