Maybe it's the fact that I grew up in the sticks, but why do Londoners seem to relish in being ripped off? This pub is a decent enough place, but £9 for a pork pie and chips (decent enough food, but nowt special)? Same with the beer - decent enough, but too expensive. Top tip. Cross over the road and walk down to the Citie of Yorke pub by Chancery Lane. Better beer and it's a hell of a lot cheaper. Just because you pay more, doesn't mean you get better quality.

Bland pub good pie
The pub is not very exciting but they do a really good range of pies.
