I had an appointment yesterday at the clinic in Connaught Sreet in London with Vicky and was more than surprised about the experience. When you walk into the clinic you feel immediately comfortable. The waiting area is quite small, everything is in white and the receptionist is looking after you while you wait. The atmosphere is somewhere in the middle between clinic and boutique. You don't feel like you are in a hospital, but it feels more professional than a spa that is smelling like neroli and roses. The treatment rooms are downstairs where the white design is continued. On arrival I had to fill out a questionnaire about my general health and medical history. Vicky - the doctor I was seeing - picked me up and brought me downstairs to the treatment rooms. She was very nice, friendly and professional and she asked me many questions to see what were my main concerns, my current condition etc. Although I came there thinking of mesotherapy and a glycolic peel we spoke about my skin which she had a thorough look at under the "microscope" as well, and she said, I could go ahead with this intention, but it might actually not be necessary. She explained all options and what might be a better solution at this time. I was very surprised, that she suggested to first calm all my skin with products and then meet again to reassess, as this meant no business at this point for her. I felt very comfortable, she seemed to really know what she was talking about and the products she suggested really work. All in all this was a very pleasant experience - completely different from what I thought it would be - and I would highly recommend it to anybody. I feel like I understand my own skin better now after seeing her, reassured that what I have been doing to take care of it was working and in good hands to go forward. I will definitely go back, will recommend her to everybody I know and am looking forward to the next meeting that I'll have in a few weeks time. The bottom line is, there is a difference if you talk to somebody who studied medicine and somebody who had a course in applying an exfoliator and a masque.
