Bought a Falcon Richmond that arrived with soft tyres. could not pump these up and every time i wanted to use the bike the tyres were either flat or almost. wrote e-mail to Henry Obuabang who answered so patronisingly as if talking to a 9 year old, Had to enlist services of Halfords who changed cheap inner tubes now i can use it !!!

Brilliant service, brilliant products
I recently bought a bike basket from discount bicycles, I was pleased to find it was one of a few only white bike baskets and at a reasonable price. Discount bicycles ensured a quick delivery and I sure got a swift delivery. I was pleasentley surprised. I would defiantly recommend them to anyone, it has many items for bikes and I will be possibly using them in the future :)

Worked hard to help me
Lost a point because website allowed me to purchase a bike that they couldn't get. However they phoned me on numerous occasions and found a like for like bike that my daughter will love (pink wheels!!!) the worked hard to sort this out. Best prices around.

Mickey Mouse

Land Rover folding bike
Excellent service, fast and efficient. Packaging for the item to be delivered wasn't up to the job. Damage in transit included chipped paint work on folding joint area, outer tube of brake cable torn, and plastic stand protector broken into three bits. I did appreciate the bundle of freebies, though the helmet was too small to use.

OMG was I impressed
Ordered a pannier for my sister's birthday (great range and only place I could find this particular one online) about 9pm one evening. Got an email the next day saying it was dispatched and it arrived the next day. What unbelievable customer service and the P&P was free! I was expecting it to take at least a week. Quick and easy
I needed an 8 speed freewheel for my bike. Really easy ordering process on line and prompt reply to say my order had been received. Said it would take 7 days - turned up in four. Out on my bike again thanks to discount bicycles.

TrailGator - Exactly as described
Found the Trailgator on the website and was initially sceptical as it was significantly cheaper than any other site/shop. I called the shop and spoke to a very helpful guy and proceeded to order the item online. Item was advertised with free next day delivery. However, I received it a day later. Still very happy though as item was half the price of other shops and delivery was free. My son is extremely happy with his tag along.

Blackmailers Caught Red Handed On CCTV In Response to Review by Madeleine left on 5.7.2011 I strongly believe in the importance of unmediated reviews, however I must protest at this thoroughly misleading and perverted review. This case also proves the point that you must not always believe everything that you read. The customer bought her bicycle from Discount Bicycles almost 2 years ago. She came into the shop on 5th July 2011 complaining that her wheels had become buckled. I advised her that I was happy to put the bicycle through the manufacturers warranty process, however I had absolutely no doubt that it would be rejected under 2 grounds, first of all the warranty had expired long ago as it was for a period of 12 months, and secondly that fact that wheels buckle routinely through use, the vibrations of the road, and also unavoidable impact with potholes and curbs I explained that this is why they were spoked and could be adjusted. I did not say that she may have been involved in a crash. This is a blatant lie and can be proved simply by watching the CCTV footage. Please also note that Madeleine also conveniently ‘Forgot' to mention in her review that the bicycle was almost 2 years old and well out of warranty. The customer simply could not accept the fact that I would not simply exchange her wheels for new ones at our cost she and became increasingly angry. Her friend accompanying her began to rant some incomprehensible stuff about ‘How the system should be changed' and that we should bypass the warranty and that we should replace the wheels. In spite of the warranty having expired. I was appalled when I gave the customer a quote for a new pair of wheels, her friend threatened to write nasty thing about us in the press and on review sites such as this if we did not fit a new set of wheels to her bicycle. We refused this point blank, and they left shortly afterwards after satisfying themselves that we would not cave into this blatant act of blackmail. We live in the real world and understand that reviews are there to offer real factual information about services or goods. This pair of fraudsters have greedily attempted to steal from Discount Bicycles, and have used Blackmail which is the nastiest trick in the book. This type of crime must not be condoned in any circumstance. Traders be warned, these scamsters operate in the Dulwich area. As a physical description, The lady called ‘Madeleine' is about 5 feet 5 has blonde hair is quite pretty and a bit plump. The older man is about 5ft 6 tall, and has buffont hair (Looks a bit like Peter Stringfelllow) (We have the entire episode captured on CCTV this will expire in 3 days) . Did everything they could!
We needed a trailgator for our son as we were going to Center Parcs. We were going to borrow one but it fell through, so we ordered it over the phone on Friday and got it by 11am next day for no extra charge. They were friendly and extremely helpful combined with being easily the cheapest make them an uncommon but fantastic on line bike shiop.

Rude, patronising and unprofessional
I visited the Discount Bicycles store and bought a bike they recommended. I wasn't looking for heavy duty use – I generally only go a couple of miles at a time. However, on the third time I rode my bike, I got about a mile down the road when suddenly the front wheel stuck and the back wheel came up. I managed to get away with only a graze to the knee but the wheels on the bike were shot. The back wheel had pretty much buckled when the front wheel stuck, which in itself had slightly bent. I was pretty shocked – I had been cycling really gently down a London road and it seemed that the bike had completely folded in on itself! When I took the bike back I was shocked by the rudeness, unprofessionalism & bad attitude I faced. The guy I spoke to accused me of lying & said that I must have crashed for the wheels to buckle. When I called him up on this, he then changed his story to say that they couldn't be responsible for the buckling of bike wheels due to the ‘vibrations of the road'. I told him I had hardly used it & showed him the bits of rubber that hadn't yet worn away from the tyres but he point blank refused to help. He then proceeded to tell me how ‘any intelligent person would see that the warranty wouldn't cover this' and insinuated that I was a ‘mug'. When I suggested that if any other product was faulty & broke after a couple of uses, it would be covered by warranty he laughed. When it became clear he wasn't going to help, I asked how much it would be to fix it. His colleague said that they could true it there and then, but the guy was quick to shut him down and said that the back wheel needed to be completely replaced. The look on the engineer's face suggested that this was news to him & I suspect the manager was being bloody minded. I have never been treated with such rudeness & as a woman in her early 20s I feel pretty shaken up by the way I was treated. I took my bike down to Sam the Wheels in Herne Hill who was quick to notice the wheels were of a poor quality. When I said that I got the bike from Discount Bicycles in Norwood, the look on his face said it all. Please don't buy from these people. I'm guessing my bike isn't the only shoddy product they sell & their approach has been unprofessional, rude and patronising.
