Somewhere between Weatherspoons & O neills

Service

Quality

This place has the potential to be so much more, the drinks are quite pricey considering the type of bar, that it is, and decor wise, its nothing special. The service of the staff, is mixed. Some are good, some are slow, and some are rude. This place is good if you around carnaby street, want a drink, and a sharing platter for a group of you, at Happy hour prices, later than happy hour the drinks are well overpriced, and the place does turn into a little bit of meat market, as they have a makeshift club downstairs. Crowd, is a mixture, of young professionals, tourists, an element of chav later on.My advice, their are plenty of better places near by, catering for all kinds of people.

Meat market

I went quite late after work drinks on a Friday so it was pretty full when we got there. It was quite hot and sweaty and it did feel like we were in a meat market at one point. Groups of men hovered around me and a female friend and we had to get a male friend to pretend he was going out with both of us and that we both weren't available! haha.Drinks don't come cheap here either but I suppose it's the usual price for central london. Good location. Music was a bit random...I didn't like half the songs. This place is probably better for early drinks.

Digress

Those who work in the area come here for a fish finger sandwich to ease their hangovers. Digress, located just offer Regent Street and close to Carnaby Street, has the feel of an upmarket Wetherspoons - leather seating, wooden interiors and a generally ambient feel. Their prices are cheaper until 5pm to attract the lunchtime market, although their prices have increased over the past year, meaning that you could probably find something a bit more value for money elsewhere.Come nighttime and the lights are dimmed. Happy hour lasts until 7pm which makes for very happy red wine consumption. Get there early to cosy up on the comfy sofas.
