Golf facilities at Cottrell Park

The golfing facilities include two championship designed golf courses, the Mackintosh and the Button Gwinnett, as well as an all weather driving range, two new surround golf simulators, two putting greens and on-course practice area. Weddings at Cottrell Park

Cottrell Park Golf Resort has established itself as a first-class South Wales wedding destination.

With a luxury marquee, fitted to the reputable clubhouse and set against a backdrop of historical parkland, the St Nicholas location is a beautiful venue for any bride and groom's special day.

The 480m2 lined marquee complete with fitted bar and patio doors looking over a private garden and lake, can be tailored to accommodate year round receptions from a small gathering of 40 friends and family to a lavish event for 360 guests.

Just ten minutes from Cardiff City Centre, in the heart of 400 acre grounds and at the end of a breathtaking kilometre-long driveway, Cottrell Park Golf Resort offers exclusive weddings delivered by an attentive, professional events team and a choice of two highly-acclaimed caterers.

To introduce the new venue, Cottrell Park Golf Resort is offering an all inclusive package of £3,500 for 60 daytime and 100 evening guests for Monday to Thursday weddings in 2014.

Action-packed facilities are also available for hen and stag dos, including two golf courses, in-door golf and grand prix simulators, raft-building, snooker/pool room and a bar-restaurant.

Exhibitions

Join us in our luxury marquee, with double glazed windows along the whole side overlooking the 18th green of the golf course, what better platform to host your exhibition or launch. This year we played host to the prestigious Porsche Concours event, the marquee comfortably accommodated 18 cars, with plenty of room for our golf members, invited guests & the general public to enjoy the exhibition. We have extensive grounds and plenty of secure, dedicated parking for any vehicles coming along. With its versatility, the marquee can be dressed and personalised to compliment your product. We can provide a catering package if required and have a bar & restaurant facility available for casual dining.

Marquee Events

Join us here at Cottrell Park Golf Resort for any occasion! We have a spectacular marquee available with the capacity of holding up to 360 guests comfortably. Whether you are looking for a lavish reception, planning a corporate or Christmas function, organising a charity fundraiser or awards ceremony, promoting a car launch or exhibition, let our professional team execute your day whilst you relax in the luxurious surroundings!

Meeting and Function Rooms for Hire

Cottrell Park houses three Suites, which are available for hire. Each Room has its own individual Character and offers a comfortable setting. For small meetings or an intimate dinner, The Tyler's Conservatory or Merrick's Conservatory with idyllic views across the Golf Course provide the perfect setting. Both suites are the same size and overlook the 18th green of the Button Gwinnett course. Each of these rooms can be styled in a way to suit the organiser up to a maximum of 50 delegates for meetings, or 32 guests for a dinner party. Or for larger groups our Tyler's Cabin provides a rustic cosy venue for up to 90 people, and The Tyler's Cabin and conservatory combined can also cater for up to 120 people

Both conservatories provide all the latest Equipment including 50 inch flat screen TV's which can be linked to a laptop, DVD/Video and music systems. There is free WiFi throughout the whole of the building as well making it easier to stay in touch. We offer half day and full day delegate rates for meetings, and a selection of finger buffets and meals suitable for any occasion or function booking.

Golf Days and Breaks

Cottrell Park offers Societies and Corporate Groups a flexible solution to select the elements they wish to create a package that meets their exact requirements. With a choice of two courses which can be booked on any day of the week, (subject to availability), Cottrell Park is the obvious choice for Society Organisers and Corporate bookers. For parties of eight or more a package can be tailor made to meet your exact requirements. Our packages include a Free trial on one of the brand new Golf Simulators where you can battle it out amongst friends to win the longest drive or nearest the pin competitions. For parties of twelve or more we are happy to provide competitions on the golf courses included in the package price or for smaller groups under twelve there is a small £5.00 fee for this service. Competitions on the Golf Simulators are Free for groups of eight or more.

We have also teamed up with local accommodation providers to offer Exceptional Mini Golf Break's in the beautiful surroundings of The Vale of Glamorgan countryside. Ideal for couples or large groups, a Golf Holiday can be tailor-made to your specific requirements. Golf Membership

Cottrell Park offers flexible Membership options to suit all lifestyles and budgets. Our subscription fees start from as little as £165.00 per year! We welcome players of all abilities and ages to use the unrivalled facilities at Cottrell Park. The resort is welcoming with friendly attentive staff; some of which have worked at the resort since leaving school. We welcome members families and friends to visit Cottrell Park and sample the bar meals and beverages whilst relaxing in comfortable surroundings with stunning views across the grounds. For your convenience a direct debit option is available to spread your annual subscriptions over 12 months. Further details are available on application and an administration fee is payable. You can join anytime and once you have decided which membership category suits you best, the remaining subscriptions are calculated on a pro-rata basis.
