Electrical Safety Inspections including PAT testing, fixed wire testing, fire alarm maintenance, emergency light testing and fire extinguisher servicing

Appliance testing ensures that you remain compliant with the many laws and regulations associated with the use of electrical appliances used within the workplace.

By using Highland Testing to perform your PAT testing this will guarantee that you have qualified experienced technicians performing the tests. Each technician has many years experience of PAT testing and are qualified to a minimum of City and Guilds 2377 and 2382 (17th edition).

Unlike many PAT testing companies every engineer is qualified and competent to perform the required tests on fixed appliances. For many years these appliances have been missed due to grey areas within the guidelines but have now become the responsibility of the appliance testing company to ensure they are tested.

The frequency of testing is based on many factors and does not necessarily have to be performed every 12 months as some companies would lead you to believe. Guidelines to the frequency of testing are available from ourselves and our engineers are quite happen to discuss your needs to ensure you remain compliant with the various regulations and guidelines.

Our pricing is competitive and a personalised quotation can be prepared upon request.

Electrical Installation Condition Reports or EICR (commonly referred to as "fixed wire testing" or "PIRs")

An EICR is a document that states whether your electrical installation is in a satisfactory condition or not in terms of safety for the users. It is prepared by means of a visual inspection and several electrical tests at various parts of the installation.
These tests will mean that you will lose power to circuits at various stages of the process which can cause major inconvenience to your operations.
With this in mind Highland Testing offers an out of hours service which we would recommend in most cases.
