Scammers

Boyfriend and I booked ourselves in quite happily after recommendations. On the day we went in to get tattooed, were told the hourly rate was £70. Since both of us have been tattooed by more experienced & famous tattoo artists we saw this as extremely steep. (Jamie Greaves charges £70 an hour!) However we went ahead with the appointments as we knew for the size of the tattoos that we were getting, it wouldn't take us long. My boyfriend sat for an hour as the tattooist took his time & slagged off his other tattoos for the lines not being thick enough. At this point my partner was already unhappy with the service. Once it was my turn, I was hoping that the tattoo artist would have realised that my boyfriend was annoyed at his time wasting & harmful comments, and would properly tattoo my piece. However, again a tattoo that should have taken at most 45minutes took an hour and a half. Our appointment was at 2pm and we got out of the parlour at 6 or 7. As we were up visiting my family, we decided to get our tattoos on the final day in Aberdeen as we thought they would be quick. Booking in at 2 would have let us plenty of time to do a little bit of exploring/shopping before having to catch our bus to Glasgow at 7pm. Sadly, not in this case. Once we were done, the tattooist asked for a full payment of £170. In which I reminded him that we had already made a deposit of £40. Recalculating, he tried to pull a fast one by explaining it would be £180 minus £40 as he had taken longer than he first thought! We handed him £130 and told him that we were in a hurry & had watched the clock for timing since we got in. After healing, both tattoos have missing blotches of colour and blue for my tattoo has bled underneath my skin. Both tattoos are not even palm size and took longer than a detailed hand sized tattoo on my calf, and cost the same as this tattoo! I would never recommend a friend to this place, as I see now that they like to take their chances & would have probably had more money off of us if we had been first timers. 3 months on, I am still outraged by this experience.
