Poorly trained staff and not good quality
Have been in once before and it wasn't that good a place. Everything was expensive and the toilet was bad quality, one of those metal ones with no seat. But it was the last time I visited that I had a bad experience. I was stopped at the door by the bouncer and he asked where I had been that night. I told him I had been to Number 7, another club. He then said, "I'm gonna say no, try somewhere else." I offered to show ID, he just repeated "No try somewhere else." I asked what reason and he said, "Just try somewhere else." I had not been drinking that night so was not under any influence. I had never caused trouble in that club before and was not aggressive to him so I do not understand why I wasn't allowed in and because he didn't tell me why I doubt he had a reason. I have the feeling that he just feels good about using that bit of authority he has to refuse some people at random entry. It is clear to me that Espionage has no standards for who it hires if it will put people like that at the door. The staff are not trained properly in customer relations and if they will hire people like that I doubt they care. That is why I will say this is not a good club. There are much better places to go in Aberdeen.

Good for a Laugh
Espionage's is a great place to go if you're looking for a good laugh and don't take your music too seriously. It's free entry which is always a bonus and it's that big that you never have to wait too long to get served at one of the bars. It's aimed at students mostly so the drink tends to be quite cheap and there are offers and promos on a lot of the time. It attracts such a range of people that you're pretty much guaranteed to find someone to have a laugh with and it's easy enough to escape from less desirables ïŠ The music's good in a cheesy sing-a-long kind of way, and I'd recommend Espionage as the sort of place to finish up and evening.

Crowded
Hi,I was there only twice, and both times it was really crowded. Well one thing is good that the entrance is free. I guess that's why it is always crowded.However the music could have been better.U should go there yourselves and check it. Who knows maybe u will like it better then me.K.

Maybe you have to get out of aberdeen and try some decent clubs then!!!Or maybe you just have lower standards!!!!Either way if you check other sites also on this club there are many to back up my case

Awesome!!!!
Well what can i say, the previous poster must need its head read!!!! either that or they are just some rival nightclub employee trying to run down what is arguably the best club in aberdeen.Iv been a regular in town for years and been to everywhere clubwise in the granite city more times than i prob should, lol. But espo is the best!!!The djs are better than anywhere else... there are no "underage kiddies" like u see in most other big aberdeen nightspots.The dress code is casual but i like to see it as they seem have a people code instead. Sumbags and the like are rarely seen there.Drinks, the prices alternate everynite. they have probably one of the biggest vodka selections in scotland (i like) so if it does cost 5p more for a drink that u get in a glass, yes glass!!! none of this plastic rubbish other aberdeen bars use then ill pay the 5p!!!!Long live Espionage!!!

****STAY AWAY DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY*******Been to many clubs world wide, a few in aberdeen, this is the worst ever!!! By a mile!!!!Security: None. No searches on enrty. Staff dont inspire confidence if something had to kick off.Staff: Mostly some of the most rudest people i have seen but there were a couple that were ok.Drinks: Over priced and frankly poorMusic: At best average.They people they let in are, well, probably unable to get in anywhere else. No dress code so everyone looked as though the had just finnished there shift in the fields!!!To some it up if you had a choice, this or your eyes being stabed the later would prob be more of a thrillGets 1 star only because i had to
