Curently trading for over 25 years under current owners. The Hielan Jessie is one of the few surviving traditional “Glesga Pubs" offering a very warm welcome in cosy surroundings. we have no TV, jukebox, pool table or gaming machines and no loud music.
The pub is located on the ground floor of a fine tenement built in the Glasgow vernacular style dating from 1771, and boost a impressive collection of 45 prints from famous Glasgow Photographer Oscar Mazaroli on permanent display. (As feature in the Daily Record). The pub is close to the famous “Barras" Market and the iconic Barrowland concert venue. We are also approximately 5 mins walk from Glasgow Green, and one of Britain's top tourist attractions, The Peoples Palace. The pub is very popular with Locals, at weekends visitors to the Barras and The Green helps to create a vibrant atmosphere. The pub can be very busy on match days at Parkhead. The pub is only a few minutes from the Merchant city and Glasgow Cross and is easily reached by bus.
