Insignis Ltd has been manufacturing and selling products to the healthcare sector since 1995. Beds and Powered standing frames have been sold nationally to individuals homes, care homes, respite homes, physiotherapy departments and hospitals for over 10 years.

About Us

We sell comfort beds, box beds and bariatric beds. These products solve manual handling and entrapments issues. The comfort beds are made in the UK and are bespoke, offering flexible solutions to any issues surrounding beds.

The powered standing frame brings users to the standing position in a slow and controlled manner with no effort from the carer. The many benefits of standing can then be gained by the user.

Finally, we sell bath chairs, a childrens standing frame, a posture assisted lying block and waterproof or pressure relieving mattresses.

Insignis Comfort Beds

The INSIGNIS COMFORT BEDs are designed to the highest standards and are manufactured in the UK. The beds are safe and strong with secure doors made from wood, polycarbonate or with bars. All comfort beds can be raised or lowered electrically. Our BOX BED is manufactured with quality, durability and ease of use all in mind. The compact size and efficient raising and lowering system make it suitable for use within a homecare environment. It is also perfect for use within hospitals and nursing homes. The electric raising and lowering system ensures less strain on the carer. The bed may be fixed at any desired height.

To ensure maximum flexibility, the bed can be ordered in a wide variety of colours and sizes and may be upholstered to add extra protection if so desired.

Powered Standing Frame

The POWERED STANDING FRAME has been available from 'Insignis Ltd' since July 1996. During that time a considerable number of frames have been sold to Hospitals, nursing homes and individual homes. The product is constantly evolving in response to the needs of users and carers.

How the PSF Works

The PSF is very simple to use. A thigh support is place around the users hips/thighs. The user is then wheeled into the frame after the footrests and arms of the wheelchair have been removed. The users feet are held in place by a toe and heel restraint. The sling is then attached to the frame and a back support is also placed around the user and attached to the frame. The user is then lifted from the wheelchair to a standing position in a gradual, smooth and steady action.
