Unfortunately the owner of this Barbers has little to no manners, she is unprofessional, unhelpful and disrespectful. She doesn't acknowledge most customers when they arrive, she doesn't thank people on their way out and she doesn't make any eye contact. My experience with this shop is as follows: My husband has been going to this barbers for 12 years because he likes one barber in particular cutting his hair (but not the owner). We now have an autistic son who is 2 and part of his therapy is to get him used to getting his hair cut. The desensitisation programme consists of 5 minutes in the waiting area and 5 minutes in the chair, once a week. The barber that my husband uses was occasionally coming over and pretending to cut my sons hair (she was offered money for this 30 second trial but declined). Just recently the owner decided enough was enough and that we (husband, son, therapist) were no longer welcome in her shop because of the following reasons (quote from the owner herself): -he's been coming in for months, he should be getting his hair cut by now (tried explaining to the owner about the therapy but kept talking over the top of my husband and therapist) - you are getting in our way (totally untrue) - he runs about the place (he has never been allowed to run about unsupervised) - we cut loads of autistic kids hair (we tried explaining how they all differ but yet again she wouldn't listen) -you could keep other customers waiting (we only go in during non busy periods, if it is busy we have just drove away) -all the girls are saying the same thing (so she is actually telling her customer that we are being talked about) She said all this to my husband whilst he was getting his hair cut in front of other customers! We left a review on her facebook page (which has been deleted) stating how unhappy and dissatisfied we were with her establishment to which she replied: -it's not your son we have the problem with, it's you we have the problem with - I asked you to have him assessed while he is getting his hair cut, not on a weekly basis but only once a month -I have two autistic nephews so you clearly have nothing to complain about -what if they all decide to assess their child in our shop -it's the people who are with your son are in our way, we wish you good luck with your search for a more accommodating salon in the future A lot more was said that was rude and ignorant but too long to write here!
