Downside is a traditional family-run retail, working nursery set in over three acres situated in Upper Westwood, between Bradford on Avon, in West Wiltshire and Iford and Freshford near Bath. We supply private gardeners & landscape gardeners and architects in Bath, Wiltshire and surrounding counties with an unrivalled choice of quality plants stock much of which is grown on site The Young family have been running Downside Nurseries for 50 years and have earned an enviable reputation for being "the gardener's nursery". We stock a huge selection of herbaceous perennials, roses, shrubs, trees, climbers, summer and autumn bedding, vegetable plants and herbs, hanging baskets and containers. You will not be disappointed here at Downside with your quest for the very best quality and choice of plants which accounts for 100% of our sales. But, being a working nursery, we don't have the coffee shop, pet food area, tools, seasonal decorations etc. However, instead we have the wonderful Peto Gardens at Iford Manor and the National Trust's Westwood Manor on our doorstep.
