The team behind Morley Waste Traders began dealing in scrap metal in 1958 and the firm itself was fully established in 1962. The business remains in the control of the original family who have built their reputation on hands-on hard work, honesty and an understanding and knowledge of scrap which is second to none.

With a long history and tradition of handling scrap metal, Morley Waste Traders are now one of the leading metal recyclers in the north of England.

Growing organically from its first site in Morley, the business now operates 10 professionally organised and fully authorised metal waste recycling centres, which combine to provide significant coverage of the Yorkshire region. Handling metal waste in all shapes and sizes, our sites are open to individual callers with small amounts of domestic waste, we can deliver a one-off or contracted skips, collect single cars all the way up to regular agreements involving hundreds of tonnes of manufacturing process waste.

As well as organic growth, the continued success of the business has led to the purchase of the Lord & Midgley metal recycling operation in Hull. Providing a presence on the east coast, the Lord & Midgley sites cover approximately 7 acres and delivers a full range of services including the depollution of over 3,000 cars per year and the processing 72,000 tonnes of scrap.

With a significant programme of investment in plant, technology, systems and expertise, Morley Waste Traders lead the way in the modern processing and safe recycling of scrap metal and associated materials, with the group handling in excess of 150,000 tonnes annually.

If you create scrap metal waste as a consequence of your factory, manufacturing or site processes, we can provide you with a skip drop off and collection service free of charge. We will make a site visit to discuss your requirements and then organise the appropriate skip and collection schedule. We will drop it off, collect it, weigh it and pay an agreed value on weight (minimum weights apply). We can provide various sized skips from 8yards to 40yards, plus roll on and off bins in various sizes. We currently run a fleet of 24 vehicles and also offer tractor unit and trailer and flatbed collections.
