Hi Diane, I really enjoyed the recent in-car coaching as part of my BTEC Level 4. I found your methods really clicked with me, and everything I have learnt this last year just seemed to slot into place. I've been particularly mindful of how I ask a questions and ensuring that I'm listening for key words in the answers. I was lucky enough to have a days in-car training with Di. Prior to the session I wasn't really sure about how the day would go and what would be expected of me. I generally prefer to learn in a classroom environment where I can hide at the back in fear of making myself look stupid in front of my peers. In car training seemed a bit daunting and I particularly recoil at the thought of 'role-play'. From the moment I met Di I felt relieved as she is so calm, kind, professional and knowledgeable. You quickly realise you're in safe hands. As for the training itself, it is designed to lean towards your personal strengths whilst gently bringing out weaker areas for development. Nobody was made to take on any particular role, but encouraged to try to come out of our comfort zones with a view to getting the most out of the session. The feedback was positive, encouraging, honest and constructive. We all left with a personal development plan and a genuine offer of follow up help if any was needed. I would definitely recommend Di for any stage of training, I've already been an instructor for 18 years and yet learnt so much in that 1 day session. I especially learnt how to treat other people based on how I was treated that day. Thank you Di.
