Great place for a family celebration!
We went last Sunday, but we always go to the Friar's Oak for our family birthdays or other get-togethers - probably 5 or 6 times a year. We've been elsewhere but keep coming back to the Friar's Oak. The food is always tasty, filling and nicely presented and the service is excellent. The menu is reasonably priced (from £8 - 11 or so for a main meal) and the puddings are delicious! They have an open fire in the colder weather too, which I like. It's popular, but you can't book, so need to get there in good time to get a place. Recommended!
