We are a community-based law firm with a strong social commitment

Every day the teams at our offices throughout the UK work hard to make a difference to people's lives by ensuring that individuals in their local communities receive the legal advice they need. When we are contacted regarding a legal matter not within our areas of expertise, we endeavour to advise where and how assistance can be obtained. We therefore undertake non-paid (pro-bono) work on a daily basis.

As a firm, we are proud to be a key corporate partner of Macmillan's World's Biggest Coffee Morning and this year alone our coffee mornings raised nearly £2,000 for Macmillan. We also support local charities by holding regular raffles and cake sales and we open our doors at Christmas to people who want to donate a Christmas Present for Cash for Kids Mission Christmas appeal.

We also support our local communities by sponsoring local football teams, rugby clubs, swimming teams, dance groups and cycling clubs.

Staff at Forster Dean also enjoy raising money for those less fortunate and have in the past been involved in walking, running and swimming events including the Race for Life, Illumathon, Starlight Walk and the Santa Dash! All of which have raised much needed cash for local charities.

Our commitment to the environment

Forster Dean recognises that it has a responsibility to the environment beyond legal and regulatory requirements. We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our environment performance as an integral part of our business strategy.

With this in mind we endeavour to minimise the use of paper in the office by working towards being a completely ‘paperless' office.

We reuse and recycle 100% of all waste materials with an accredited specialist waste management company.

Many of our employees work in the community where they live, which reduces the environmental impact of commuting. We promote the use of e-mail, skype and telephone conferences as an alternative to travel.
