I was absolutely delighted with the standard of care dear mother received at The Uplands Home. Having been Moms carer for many years it's very difficult to transfer care to others, I was extremely pleased that I had placed her in very safe hands - regular staff - not agency - I found it very distressing to visit her on a regular basis - because due to her dementia I had lost Mom a long time ago - I felt happy & confident that she was in very safe hands - she was looked after so very well hygienically and nutritionally I can honestly say I found no fault for her well being. Mom passed away -peacefully in her sleep - I visited her - to find her in bed - covered with a fresh white sheet & a spay of fresh flowers on her bed - such a compassionate touch- for which I was so grateful. My father was also in a care home - I had made such a wrong choice - he had Biswangers dementia. There were many hygiene / dietary / accomodation issues - we organized house conversion for Dad to be at home. Thank you to the dedicated Uplands staff fo such care. Marion Ford
