Good Fun For All!

I love this sea life centre it's the best one I have been too and I have been many times. It's a great place for all the family and the kids really will love it, especially with lovely finding nemo section where you can find all your favourite characters in real for. There is also a small rock pool, which is great, and there is always staff asking you to hold all these different kinds of creatures, including crabs and sea urchins. It also has a huge walkthrough tunnel where you can see the huge gorgeous turtles swimming over your heads!!The price is a little high for admission but if you look around you can always find 2 for 1 tickets all over the place. It really is a great place to go for you and the kids and id definitely recommend it. Be sure to check it out!!

Underwater Fun

Sealife Centre is a great place to vist especially if you have young children as their is so much to see to keep little ones entertained. The prices are abit steep but for the money that goes into looking after the animals and plus the seahorse preservation it is well worth it.The staff are friendly and there is a buggy area for you to leave your strollers if needs be.There are so many different display sections and you can veiw marine life at it's best from octopus, jellyfish, sharks & rays plus many more stunning fishes and other underwater animals. There are also Otters aswell as the usual marine fishes.Small Children will really enjoy the Nemo Kingdom where they have the fishes from the Finding Nemo Film. Also new for 2008 is a the Mirror Maze which is so much fun. There is also a small rockpool area that has a staff member allowing you to explore some small animals and have a chance to touch and feel which the children always seem to enjoy the hands on experience. There is a small giftshop & a cafe that sells quick lunches or snacks.A great day out in all

I love the Sealife Centre - I go every couple of years when they launch a new exhibit. Infact I'm due for another trip now as they have recently opened the turtle sanctuary! They have lots of fascinating exhibits, the underwater walkthrough tunnel, the otters and sea horses are my favourites. I find the underwater tunnel an incredible place - it's so much fun to see turtles, sharks and fish swimming above your head. I've gone with countless family members and children. Some of the children start off unimpressed by the thought of seeing lots of fish (although they are interested in seeing the pirahnas and the octopus) but come away so excited after the tunnel and having a turtle or shark swim by them! The otters are absolutely adorable - although it's hit or miss if they are awake when you drop by. If they are asleep it'll be worth looking at all the other animals and then popping back to see them. The ray tank is also very impressive and usually manned by Sea Life Centre staff who reveal interesting facts about their animals.I agree with a previous reviewer that it's expensive BUT a simple way to avoid this is to go to sites like lastminute.com or visit the library to get discounted tickets which are available most of the year (except around school holidays.) It is a fantastic attraction in a great spot so why not make a day of it and grab a bite to eat somewhere on the canal or further up Broad Street.

Fantastic day out

The Sea Life Centre is a truly fantastic day out. It has a huge, impressive range of animals and fish, and is great fun.It is presented in a fun and attractive way, and is quite large- although it does not take too long to walk through. It has everything from Rays to seahorses, otters and gigantic crabs! The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and more than happy to talk to you about the fish.It is a great day out for a group of friends, or a family. It isn't cheap, however, so the student discount came in handy! There's a great shop at the end of the tour, which has a great range of mementos and gifts which are pricey, without being extortionate.
