What is Disc Golf?

Disc golf is like regular golf. but we use special frisbees instead of clubs and balls; and we aim to throw the frisbees into metal baskets rather than holes. There are 18 "holes" on the main course, and distances on each hole vary from 70m to 120m. There's also a short course of 16 holes averaging 50m in length. We don't have bunkers, but there are lots of trees to try and avoid, and there's also the river Avon.

Who Should Play?

Just about anybody who is reasonably mobile can play. I would suggest age 8 and upwards, but we do get younger children. Many visitors have no prior experience of disc golf, and we are happy to give you some pointers on the basics.
We welcome all sorts of groups - families, work groups, social groups, stag/hen parties, scouts, round table etc.
You don't need to bring your own discs, the fee allows you the use of one (frisbee) disc each.

Other Advice

There are no tee times, and you can turn up unannounced, but if you have a large group - say 8 or more, or you want to have someone on hand to give you an introduction then please get in touch, so that we are ready to help.
This is a countryside activity, so it can be muddy in winter or after heavy rain. You should wear sensible footwear and clothing i.e. not flip-flops and white trousers.
Facilities are basic, but we do have a loo and there is a pro shop selling discs, soft drinks and chocolate.

Disc Golf is a great sport or activity for all ages and abilities, and QP has been meticulously designed to be fair to beginners and challenging to pros. We welcome everyone from family groups and tourists looking for a fun frisbee activity, to professional level players from abroad. Disc golf is great for group outings too - we have had stag parties, sports clubs, scout groups, office outings, church groups, round table etc.....
