The Ditton Lodge

Ditton Lodge is an elegant family run Edwardian house with lots of character and original features. It has been recently extended and renovated providing luxurious rooms and the latest wi-fi technology.

It is ideally located in a quiet tree-lined conservation area close to all amenities and only 18 minutes by train from Surbiton to Central London, or 8 minutes by underground from Wimbledon station making all the top attractions in London very easy to reach.

Kingston-upon-Thames is also only a couple of miles away and is an excellent centre for shopping, eating out and entertainment, set within this historic market town on the river Thames.




All our rooms are en-suite and have been designed with comfort and relaxation in mind. They reflect the style of the period yet provide you with all your home comforts such as TV and tea and coffee making facilities. For the business traveller all rooms have access to wi-fi technology for instant internet access.

You can relax in our fully-licenced bar/lounge or in our secluded garden, making us an ideal location for both business or pleasure. We also cater for small meetings and functions during the day.

All our eighteen rooms are en-suite and have been designed with comfort and relaxation in mind. We can accomodate you in either single, double or family rooms. They all reflect the style of the period of the lodge yet provide you with all your home comforts such as TV and tea and coffee making facilities.

We have recently extended the property to include seven new rooms designed in a traditional style and enjoying luxurious bathrooms with power showers, and flat screen TV's.

For the business traveller all rooms have access to wi-fi technology for instant internet access.

Local Attractions

Hampton Court Palace
This tudor palace was built in 1515 by Cardinal Wolsey and presented to King Henry VIII in 1529. It is famous for its gardens and maze and houses a large collection of armour, tapestries and paintings.

Kew Gardens and Kew Palace
The Royal Botanical Gardens at Kew boast over 300 acres and more than 100,000 species and varieties of plants. Kew Palace is situated within the gardens and is open to the public in the summer.

River Thames Boat Trips
The River Thames is only a short walk away from Ditton Lodge. You can take a number of boat trips to Kingston, Richmond, Kew and even right up to Westminster in the heart of London (Thames River Boats).




Shopping and Eating Out

Kingston-upon-Thames, only a couple of miles away is an excellent centre for shopping, eating out and entertainment. All the main high street shops can be found there as well as the Bentalls Centre which houses more than 85 stores.

London is only an 18 minute train ride away from Surbiton Station making all the top attractions very easy to reach.

Horse racing at Sandown, Kempton Park and Epsom, all a short distance away.

Twickenham Rugby Stadium - the home of English Rugby.

Wimbledon Tennis Championships held in June/July each year.
