Not bad for a Pizza Express

Firstly the Art Deco building is interesting and inside it remains interesting albeit in a Pizza Express sort of way.My daughter chomps away her frequently: it is family friendly and there is little hassle to move on. If you need a reliable version of a standard chain then this Pizza house ticks the books.

A nice place for families

This is the only place in Richmond I have revisited so far with my children. The restaurant is housed in an art deco influenced building in the centre of town. It is a large venue but the seating is well arranged in different areas to make the atmosphere somewhat cosier. The usual high standards of PE apply here, although the serving staff could have been a little friendlier. Special activity books for kids is a nice touch before meals arrive and margherita pizzas enhanced with black olives (actually a little expensive to add a few olives on top) went down well. I opted for the Bosco salad the first time I came and it was perfectly acceptable.

Of course the food is good because its a big chain but this specific outlet has its own charms and issues. Its right opposite Odeon Studio which makes it perfect for food before or after a film. The waiters are competent etc and the drinks area is very comfortable. The only drawback is that its very much a family restaurant, its where families go when something special happens. This means that if you're after a quiet meal as a couple or even as a family yourself or going out with friends for conversation, this isn't the best place to go on a friday night, or any night. There is often more than one table of more than 6 people with balloons, small children and singing or clapping. This review is more of a warning depending on what kind of evening you're looking for.
