do not use!!

i had an mot and service for £120 which you think would be a great deal! my car failed the mot on the handbrake having to much travel which is fair enough. they wanted to fit new discs and pads for another £120 which i could get my friend to do a lot cheaper so i said i would take my car away for the work to be done which they said they charge £20 for a retest fair enough as it would still be cheaper for my mate to do it! right here is where they rip you off!! had the work done took the car back only for it to fail again on the handbrake working only 10% (legal is 16%) and this time a brake imbalance of 48% which is bad! so as it failed again it would cost the price of a full mot which is standard. i feel they didnt like the fact that i didnt want to hand over another £120 for them to do the work they thought failing it again they could charge me the full cost of another mot! so i took the car else where for another test without doing anymore work to the car to see if they was right. good news was it passed straight away!! the fact the handbrake is working at 27% (not the 10%) they failed it on and the brake imbalance was 48% is infact only 1% yes that right 1% which the mot tester told me horror storys about autofit spraying grease on your discs to give false readings so they can do work that is not needed to your car and rip you off!! i for one will never use this garage again and have spoken to trading standards who will look into it and also been advised to contact VOSA which i will as soon as i hear back from trading standards!! shame i had to give it 1 star because they shouldnt have any!! YOU BEEEN WARNED!! SAVE MONEY AND STAY AWAY!!
