Guest Houses in Whitby (North Yorkshire)
11 Abbey Terrace
This lovely Victorian house retains many of its original features but has been sympathetically brought up to date to provide our guests with the modern requirements for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. All our rooms are en-suite and have hairdryers, mini-fridges, tea and coffee making facilities and flat-screen TVs. We also have drying facilities for walkers, cyclists and bikers. The Guest House is ideally situated on Whitby's West Cliff, just one street back from the seafront and beach and a short stroll from Whitby's historic seaside town centre. A free parking permit is provided for on street parking and a large Car Park at the top of Abbey Terrace is free of charge from 6pm until 9am. Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate children under the age of 12. We offer a varied breakfast menu all locally sourced from bespoke local suppliers. From dry cure bacon and sausages from the renowned Radfords Butchers for our full English and Whitby Kippers and local Haddock for a bit of variety. There are always fresh fruit salad, compotes, jams, marmalades and honey on the buffet along with fresh Orange or Apple juice and speciality teas. We serve Yorkshire Tea and Rainforest Alliance Certified Colombian coffee and plenty of hot toast. We aim to give you a great start to your day. If you are looking for a relaxing break by the coast, or a more active holiday within the North Yorkshire Moors, Rosslyn House is ideally situated. We can provide information on Dracula, Dark skies and Dinosaurs, boat trips, smugglers and folk-law. We are open all year round, apart from Christmas. Please feel free to contact us if you need any further information.

The most amazing place headed by Martin and Vanessa who couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating during our stay. All the rooms were redecorated in Jan 16 and look stunning. Gorgeous breakfast and a two minute walk to the town centre.
What a lovely place to stay, nothing is to much trouble for the owners Martin and Vanessa. The rooms are decorated to a really high standard, some really good touches in the room a very enjoyable stay. The breakfast was lovely, this little treasure really is a cut above other guest houses I have stayed in.
