Dating back to 1840, The Old Swan Hotel is one of Harrogate’s oldest and most cherished hotels. The hotel’s Victorian splendour and traditional elegance is complimented today by a modern and contemporary environment. The hotel has recently had a full refurbishment; all 136 bedrooms (including ten suites), nine conference & banqueting rooms and all lounges and restaurants have benefited from a new light and stylish decor. The hotel offers 175 FREE car parking spaces. ...
This is a great hotel, staff very helpful. Harrogate is a lovely place, we go there often. A very pleasant stay and I would highly recommend it.

Myself, my wife, brother and sister inlaw spent the weekend of 29-30 October 2004 at the Old Swan Hotel in Harrogate. I spend a lot of time in hotels due to my business. At £98.00 per night I would expect this to be at the top end of accommodation. how wrong I was, the hotel room was dirty, smelly and run down, wallpaper was missing or falling off in corridors and my room, the bathroom tiles where moldy and the carpets had holes all over. the corridors smelled of damp and the old box sash windows are in need of service. The prices range from £39.00 to £110 per night I dread to think what the £39.00 rooms are like. It was a weekend for both mine and my brothers wives, it was very dissapointing I would not reccomend this hotel to anyone and I will not be using it myself again.
