I asked Richardson how much an inner tube was and the owner said £3.95. A few days later I bought one and it cost £4. I gave him the exact amount in change and he said 'Hmm, that'll do' as though I never gave him enough. His kid does racing and once I saw his bike with 2 Twofish Lockblocks on the handle bars. This is a rubber block with 2 velcro straps. I bought a Twofish Lockblock for my light. When mine got wet it slipped. I asked Richardsons about this and he said I don't know anything about those. My lad has a screw on one." I was asking about rollers for my bike. Richardsons started changing his advise on buying them. Over about 1 or 2 months he said: Rollers are dangerous, keep away fromn them. My lad has aluminium ones as he does training and you (me) should be alright with the pvc ones. Then he said - My lad has the pvc ones but one of the rollers has warped but you (me) should be alright with the pvc ones. I needed a new bike and I have had good fast and light full suspension bikes before. I said I want a full suspension bike. I told Richardsons and Mr. White I think it is) from Cube, who was there at the time that I want the bike for mostly road use with going up and down curbs, the odd public footpath/bridleway and going down the Hull-Hornsea track. This track is a misture of surfaces. Concrete, hardpack and a bit of light stone but all flat. Both Richardsons and Mr. White from Cube told me that the Cube XMS 100 would be the perfect bike for me. This bike is really heavy and slow. The bike always wanted to stop and I could not get the bike to go that fast. I can pedal for miles but on this bike I had to stop pedalling all the time. No matter whether I was pedalling or not all the bike did was slow down, even going down hill. Nearly five years after buying the Cube XMS 100 both Richardsons and Mr. White told me that the Cube XMS 100 is a cross-country bike. This is both of them admitting that they ripped me off.
