Transport Driver Training Services

JCL Driver Training has joined the WTTL Consortium to deliver Driver CPC using our knowledge of the subjects to be delivered.
The courses to choose from can be part of your company strategy to develop your drivers knowledge and interest in the profession they have chosen. Below are the driver CPC Courses which can be split into two 3 hour modules of your choice relevant to your needs, except module 6 which on its own is 7 hours.

JCL Driver Training

Involved in transport for over thirty years in europe and other continents. Over this time using and training on 4x4s, HGV general haulage, tank transport, fridge, box, curtain sides, tilts, drawbar and low loaders.
Advanced driver with the Institute of Advanced Motorist Commercial. Training fleet drivers to gain the IAM Commercial membership and RoSPA.
Gained CPC in National and International Road Haulage Operations in 1988.
1998 I became an in-house fleet trainer with a large blue chip company training drivers in company procedures, safe driving techniques - employing truck technology and Health & Safety in Transport.
2004 saw me going self-employed and starting JCL Driver Training. Since then being involved with training drivers for SAFED (Safe And Fuel Efficient Driving) vans and LGVs. Defensive driving, road risk, driver risk assessments, speed awareness, 4x4s and now involved with delivering driver CPC.

Mission:-
My goal is to deliver quality driver training and transport knowledge, with an understanding of drivers responsibilities, that is relevent to the customer and drivers needs.

Located in the North West. J C L Driver Training is Based on experience in training and assessing drivers within companies, looking at Health & Safety at work related issues, safe use of vehicles and equipment, vehicle checks, relevant law, tachograph and 'o' licence preservation. Experiences in teaching Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving and 4x4 off-road driving. Working with many Small, Medium and Large Blue Chip companies throughout the UK. Work has involved developing drivers skills and knowledge based on drivers responsibillities covering their duty of care.

Courses offered are:- Driver CPC, Fleet Driver Training, train the trainer driver assessor courses, SAFED (Safe and Fuel Efficient Driving) Lgv & Vans, 4x4 off-road / on-road techniques, also training for the DSA B+E Test car and trailer. Most of the training courses are carried out at the clients locations.
