Failed to notice obvious signs of dry rot
Purchased a Home Buyer Report from company. The document was delivered late after multiple failed attempts to contact the company (company only answered when we called from a different number). The report itself - failed to notice obvious signs of dry rot across two rooms - failed to notice signs of water damage from a leaking shower - claimed no alarm system was installed (it was) - claimed no smoke alarms were installed (there were) - claimed there were multiple fireplaces in the property (there are none) - claimed certain areas were inaccessible due to furniture (the house was empty) - plus a multitude of other errors The company corresponded to us using the wrong name on multiple occasions. When contacted RICS and The Property Ombudsman claimed that the company did not have an active relationship albeit this was rectified after the fact.
